We always promised ourselves an Anniversary Cruise if we ever made it that far! 50 years of marriage is a significant milestone. And this is where it began on the 7th of August, 1965. Michele was the most beautiful young woman I had ever seen and certainly our marriage was the best life changing event that ever happened to me.

Of course our most significant achievement of those 50 years is the legacy of two wonderful children. We are proud to recognise that they are good, (mostly) sensible, independent, kind and loving human beings who have successfully carved out their own lives in their own way and produced our four precious grandchildren (with help from two very special partners, of course)
We are very grateful for the past 50 years of our lives. It has indeed been a (largely) lucky life in this lucky country. This cruise is a celebration of the good and the difficult times of those years; and there has been plenty of both. We have cruised out to the other side with a few wrinkles, some external scars, diminishing eyesight, a change of hair style, the odd replacement or loss of a body part, a lot fatter than we should be but satisfied with our lot. Thank you too to our family and friends for joining us in recent celebrations. Bon Voyage to the next milestone, whatever that may be.
